Christine was first introduced to yoga as a teenager, when her mother took her to classes in her hometown of Beavercreek, Ohio. At first, yoga was just a way to get a good stretch and build strength. However, over the years, yoga became the one constant in her life and Christine found herself coming to the mat more for tranquility, clarity, and empowerment.
Christine received a degree in Commercial Photography from Ohio University and, shortly after, moved to Charleston, SC with the sole purpose of fulfilling her dream to live by the ocean. She owns a freelance photography business, Love & Lenses, and also manages the local cold-pressed juice company, Blue Barn Juice.
She recently completed her 200-hour RYT through her studies at Gaea Yoga School. Christine attended Kira Ryder’s immersion in April 2015, where she dove more deeply into the subtleties of the body and mind, learning to be more present and truly listen to the longings of her heart. She plans to attend the Ojai Yoga Crib in October 2015 to further her yogic learning.
Yoga and meditation have transformed Christine’s life – teaching her how to find her center when life gets turbulent, as well as training her to trust her true Self. Christine hopes her students leave her class feeling flexible (in body and spirit), grounded, and more grateful for all the world has to offer.
When Christine is not doing yoga, taking photographs, or juicing, she enjoys hanging out at the beach and listening to live music (and, of course, dancing to the music). Life is an adventure. She’s grateful to be a part of it all.
