Our 200-hour program at Gaea Yoga Center is divided up into modules.
Please know that we are not a fast-track yoga school.
We know that you can get certified to teach yoga in a few weeks elsewhere, but that's just not our way of doing things. We want to you savor the teachings. We want you to have room to take deep breaths and digest the information. And we find that this creates a solid community within our Yoga School and within our Gaea Family at large. For us, it's all about diving to the depths and feeling connected. We are not a wham-bam-thank-you-mam training program. But we promise to make you into the most informed, skilled, versatile, and solid yoga teacher that we possibly can. If that sounds good to you, then come join us.
Total Tuition would be somewhere between $2200-$2800 depending on what modules you choose to take.
To stay tuned in regards to our upcoming training modules and/or retreats, please subscribe to our mailing list. We do not send out monthly or philosophical emails. We simply use our mailing list to report the latest news and events.
It is our intention that you graduate from our Gaea Yoga School as a well-rounded and versatile Yoga Teacher. Meaning, upon graduation from our Gaea Yoga School 200-hour Teacher Certification you will be capable of teaching Gentle Yoga, Yin Yoga, Yang Yoga, Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Beginner Yoga, and/or a Gaea Grounded® class.
We'd love to hear from you! Please contact us if you have any questions about completing your 200-hour through our Gaea Yoga School.
PLEASE NOTE: Our training season is mostly condensed into 6-8 months a year, giving us the other few months to catch our breaths and studySTUDYstudy to prepare for YOU. We offer most of our training modules from the early Fall (September-ish) through the Winter and into early Spring (March-ish). Every now and then we might have workshops outside of this scheduling, but that is curerntly not the norm. If you want regular updates, stay tuned.
In order to achieve a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certification through our Gaea Yoga School, you must take our 100-hour Yin Yoga Training which is offered once a year (usually in January-February). This 100-hour training is the only required module of our 200-hour program.
The remaining 100-hours will simply be "filled in" with other modules offered through our Gaea Yoga School curriculum.
For instance, to achieve the remaining 100 hours towards your 200-hour certificate, you could take a 50-hour module, a 30-hour module, and then partake in our 20-hour Apprenticeship Program. Depening on the modules offered each year, we encourage you to be creative with which modules you choose to take depending where your personal interest lie. You are not required to take any of the modules of our Gaea Yoga School in any particular order.
Our elective modules span the following topics:
Mantra & Japa
The Bhagavad Gita
Patanjali's Yoga Sutras
The Wisdom and Allegories of Hindu Deities
Organ Health & Physiology
Diet & Nutrition
