At Gaea, we truly want to make sure you are a competent and versatile teacher when you graduate from our Gaea Yoga School. Meaning, we want to make sure that you can actual put yourself out there as a capable yoga teacher and possibly make a living off teaching yoga if that is what you desire. So part of our teacher training program is a 20-hour Apprenticeship with one of our Senior teachers to help you fine-tune your skills before we send you off into the real world.
Dates & Times:
The Apprenticeship gives you the opportunity for one-on-one instruction. Your Mentor will give you personal feedback based on your unique goals as a yoga teacher. Therefore, this aspect of the Gaea Yoga Teacher Certification can be conducted on a flexible basis of time depending on the availability of both the student and the mentor.
Cost of the Apprenticeship:
At the 200-hour level of Certification:
We expect you to observe at least 2 classes and turn in a write-up of these classes to your Mentor.
We expect you to create an hour long class of your choice (Yin, Grounded, Vinyasa, Gentle, etc.) and teach this class (with music - so you will create a playlist) to your Mentor. Twice.
At the ADVANCED 300-hour level of Certification:
We expect you to observe at least 3 different classes and turn in a write-up of these classes to your Mentor.
We want you to create a 2-3 hour workshop-style class of your choice and present the outline of this class to your Mentor for discussion and approval.
Finally, we will ask that you practice teach certain aspects of the workshop class with your mentor.
