Spring Equinox Yin Yoga

March 10, 2018 by Gaea Yoga Leave a Comment

Join Kate Smith for a 2-hour Yin Yoga class in celebration of the Spring Equinox, y’all!

Spring is a time of bursting forth and blossoming. We shed the layers of protection from the chills of winter and venture out into the freshness of spring with new life. This process of bursting forth can feel vulnerable and raw at times. In Chinese Medicine Theory, we are shifting from the season of the Kidney (Water) to the season of the Liver (wood). Kate will guide us through poses to honor this transformation and facilitate the true amazement of this shift.

Kate will be making one of her special essential oil blends in honor of the Spring Equinox. Each student will take home a small bottle of the special blend.

How to Dance With the Divine

July 15, 2016 by Gaea Yoga Leave a Comment

How to Dance

Please Note: This event is now FULL. You may email us to be put on a wait list.

How can we live more in the moment? How can we find the Divine in our hectic and mundane everyday lives? How can we use this knowledge of the Divine to help us not only uncover our True Nature but also TRUST in this depth within ourselves?

While she in no way claims to have mastered the Divine Dance, Kate Smith will tackle these deep questions while exploring the technique of Japa (mantra meditation with a mala). She will also focus on some of the stories and myths behind a few of the major Hindu Deities in order for us to understand how the allegories of these myths can be applied to learning within our own lives. An hour of “story-time” followed by a Yang2Yin class.

Kate Counts is preparing special and magical malas honoring deities that will be for sale at the end of the class.

Space is limited. NO REFUNDS, CREDITS, or TRANSFERS.
