Join Kate Smith on the evening of the Summer Solstice to honor the shift of seasons from Spring to Summer.
Summer is a Yang time of year. Let’s use Yin Yoga, Essential Oils, & Meditation to balance the heat and fire of summer.
In Summer, we burst forth from the hibernation of Winter and the budding of Spring to venture into the FIRE of the Summer season when our hearts can truly blossom. We will discuss how this transformation of the seasons plays into our yoga practice as well as how to harness the vibrant and BRIGHT yang energy of the Summer.
Kate Smith will prepare an essential oil blend in honor of the Summer Solstice to share with the group.
These events tend to fill up. Space is limited.
Mother's Day this year happens to fall on the 5-year anniversary of Gaea Yoga's (re)opening in 2012. AND it's Kate Smith's first class back since the birth of her daughter. So we are celebrating by having a 90-minute Yin class where all the proceeds go to charity. Maia Moms is a local charity supporting single mothers and we couldn't be more excited to support their cause.
Kate Smith will guide us through one of her signature 90-minute Yin Yoga classes celebrating and honoring the Divine Mother - one of our deepest sources of Yin. This will not be a girly class. The Divine Mother is FIERCE, y'all. Men are encouraged and welcomed.
Please note: There are NO REFUNDS. No transfers. No credits. All money will be donated to charity. 😉

The holidays are a busy time, but it’s important that we take time out to PAUSE and cultivate a sense of CALM within. Join Kate Smith for a Winter Solstice 2-hour Yin Yoga class honoring the longest night & shortest day of the year. What a perfect evening to practice yin yoga, y’all.
Kate Smith will lead us through a series of yin yoga postures to honor this seasonal shift from Autumn to Winter. In Chinese Medicine Theory, we are shifting from the season of the Lung to the season of the Kidney. Kate will discuss what this means for us and how we can use this transformational time to honor our own self-healing. She will also brew up one of her magical essential oil blends for the event and incorporate the blend into the class.
A few small bottles of the Winter Solstice Blend will be for sale after the event for an $8 charge.
Kate Counts will also be selling her Evolve Malas at the event. Hooray!
Please note: Refunds will only be issued if canceling within 7 days prior to the event. No refunds will be issued after Wednesday, December 14, 2016. Passes cannot be transferred to another yogi or used towards credit at the studio.
