Yoga classes are listed in order starting with the "gentler" classes that require less range of movement and ending with the classes requiring more experience, strength, stamina, and flexibility.
An exceptionally gentle class using bolsters and other props to help those less flexible ease into poses more comfortably. Restore and nourish the body in a calm and mindful way.
While this class maintains a very gentle vibe, we do encourage some easy and safe strengthening of the muscles. Docile motion is included to motivate healthy movement in the joints. This class also includes standing poses using the wall as support to enrich balance and focus. Perfect for young and old alike.
Move beyond the muscular system and work on stretching and stimulating the fascia or connective tissue. 3 to 5 minute pose holds that help to access the meridians or energy channels of the body. Mostly floor poses. A great class to balance your yang lifestyle and instill a sense of calm. No previous experience needed.
The soil of our teachings here at Gaea, this class breaks down the components of flow yoga by taking the momentum out. Detailed cueing of how to get in and out of poses. By moving with more awareness, this class challenges the deeper postural muscles. A great class for flow junkies who are building core strength and/or learning to slow down. This class is also accommodating and intimidation-free for those who have never set foot on a yoga mat.
A core strengthening class incorporating the techniques of Joseph Pilates. Work your body from the inside out.
This class moves at a slower pace which can be helpful for those starting out in vinyasa-style yoga. However, keep in mind that this class takes the momentum out and moving slowly can often make the practice more challenging for those who know what they are doing. Experience with vinyasa flow or Gaea Grounded® is recommended.
A flow class open students with previous vinyasa yoga experience. A flowing series of postures (asanas) to increase flexibility, strength and stamina.
